here is the ticket that I used to enter to the dance performance in the theater william shakespeare. this theater is located in the 19th avenue with 153. I've happen to know the woman that was like the director of the performance, so my family and I got the tickets by free. this performance was like an adaptation of many songs from: Guns n' Roses, Beethoven, MIKA, Shakira, among others. there was a hip hop part even, but all the time the dance style was ballet. at first I thought "yikes, this is going to be the most boring thing i've ever done in my life" but after the show, my impression had a turn of 180 degrees.
As I told you previously, I know the director of the performance, and she acceded to answer some questions (Her name is Mónica)
Me. What came to your mind when you decided to make a performance that is out of the current theories about ballet?
Monica.
Me. how many time did the realization of this performance took?
Monica.
Me. How long have you been a professional dancer?
Monica.
Me.Which has been the biggest performance you have ever made?
Monica.
Me. do you consider important that people go to the theater constantly?
Monica.
Well, I think that you shouldn't go to the theater once in a lifetime but more or less 2 or three every one or two years. Life is not only about watching T.V., Going to Mc. donalds and to the movies and then go back to sleep. no, I consider that life is the moment in which you can enjoy in family doing things such as going to the thater, the movies, a park, an amusement park, i don't know, wherever you want to go that doesn't mean to get thicker. I really enjoyed going to this theater and I might do it again. I recommend you to go also to the theater guys. bye bye

World Wonders in Sand
by: Sebastian Guerrero Hi there. I visited the expomuseum (which means a museum that won't be there always) "maravillas del mundo en arena". ¿what is that? an enormus exposition showing the 5 continents and Colombia's best things.
the ticket cost with the student I.D. was about $15000 pesos.
In this trip, I got to know the entire world. That's why the slogan of the expo is in spanish "Round the world in one day" and it's true. this slogan is inspired in Julio Verne's book "round the world in eighty days" and, as a matter of fact, ther was Julio Verne in the expo. not the real one neither one made of sand, its actually a guy who represented Julio.
you have just seen some pictures of the expositions in there. I really loved going to that exposition. remember: is next to el campin coliseum and it is here in colombia just until february-march, 2012. I really recomend you to go.
see you in the theater tag.

Mc' Donald's
McDonald's Corporation is the world's largest chain of hamburguer fast food serving around 64 million customers daily in 119 countries Headquartered in the United States, the company began in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated; in 1948 they reorganized their business as a hamburger stand using production line principles. Businessman Ray Crock joined the company as a franchise agent in 1955. He subsequently purchased the chain from the McDonald brothers and oversaw its worldwide growth.
. The corporation's revenues come from the rent, royalties and fees paid by the franchisees, as well as sales in company-operated restaurants. McDonald's revenues grew 27 percent over the three years ending in 2007 to $22.8 billion, and 9 percent growth in operating income to $3.9 billion.
The business began in 1940, with a restaurant opened by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California. Their introduction of the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 furthered the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant that the White Castle hamburger chain had already put into practice more than two decades earlier. The original mascot of McDonald's was a man with a chef's hat on top of a hamburger shaped head whose name was "Speedee." Speedee was eventually replaced with Ronald McDonald by 1967 when the company first filed a U.S. trademark on a clown shaped man having puffed out costume legs.
McDonald's first filed for a U.S. trademark on the name "McDonald's" on May 4, 1961, with the description "Drive-In Restaurant Services," which continues to be renewed through the end of December 2009. In the same year, on September 13, 1961, the company filed a logo trademark on an overlapping, double arched "M" symbol. The overlapping double arched "M" symbol logo was temporarily disfavored by September 6, 1962, when a trademark was filed for a single arch, shaped over many of the early McDonald's restaurants in the early years. Although the "Golden Arches" appeared in various forms, the present form as a letter "M" did not appear until November 18, 1968, when the company applied for a U.S. trademark.
The present corporation dates its founding to the opening of a franchised restaurant by Ray Kroc, in Des Plaines, Illinois, on April 15, 1955, the ninth McDonald's restaurant overall. Kroc later purchased the McDonald brothers' equity in the company and led its worldwide expansion, and the company became listed on the public stock markets in 1965. Kroc was also noted for aggressive business practices, compelling the McDonald brothers to leave the fast food industry. The McDonald brothers and Kroc feuded over control of the business, as documented in both Kroc's autobiography and in the McDonald brothers' autobiography. The site of the McDonald brothers' original restaurant is now a monument.

Sports
There were many sports and games that were popular in Colonial America. Most of these activities are still commonly practiced today. Some of the more active sports included soccer (which they called football), swimming and lacrosse, though they also engaged in other games, such as marbles and cribbage. Many of the more physical activities that Colonial Americans engaged in were considered a form of training for battle. Some examples are the blow out was one of the most old of the marbles, others were the runs of the horses and bulls.
The stadium was constructed by the son of Nemesio Camacho, by the birthday 400 of Bogota. There are many games that ahve been there the american cup, world cuo under 20, pre-olimpics games. The first game was between Bolivia and Colombia.
Nowdays the principal sport in Bogota is soccer, in colombia the principal league is Liga Postobon. The teams that represent Bogota are: Millonarios, Santa Fe and Equidad. The oldest is Millonarios the more new is Equidad. The biggest classic is Millonarios vs Santa Fe. The stadiums are El campin and el metropolitano.By: juan manuel santamaria

Library
by Sebastian Guerrero
today, I am in the "Centro Cultural Biblioteca Publica Julio Mario Santodomingo". This beautiful place is located next to our school and it is the biggest library in Iberoamerica. I happen to live very near so I came easily with my father. This place has a garden at the entrance,it has a theater, a small gallery, and two sections of books: the kids place and the general zone. And in the back of the building, there is a big playzone witha exercise park in a sand pit, a place to do roller-skating, skateboarding, etc.
I could interview 2 workers, one in the kids zone and the other in the general zone.
the girl at the kid zone's interview was something like this:
Sebastian: hi, can you do me a favor
Librarian 1: yes, sure
S: is that I have a work for school and I wonder if you could answer me some questions?
L1: ok
S: how long have you been working in here?
L1: like a year and a month
S: how many kids come here?
L1: between mondays and thursdays, fewer than from fridays to sundays
S: how can I pick up books in here?
L1: you have to get the inscription card and when you have it, you can take books, movies and cd from here and general zone
S: how is the stuff of the computers?
L1: you give your name, your age and I asign you a computer. the kids +13 can't use them
S: ok, thats all, thank you
L1: ok, anytime

Bogota's history
Bogota was first populated by muiscas, who was settled in Cundinamarca and Boyacá. They talked the language of Chibchas. In this area the population was organized in two large federations, each commanded by a chief: the southwest area dominated by the Zipa with the center located in Bacatá, currently Bogotá. He was the strongest leader occupying two fifths of the territory. The northeast zone was the Zaque domain and the center was Hunza region, currently Tunja. Muisca population however, contrasting with Tairona population, did not develop large cities. Muisca, eminently farmers formed a disperse population occupying numerous small villages and hut settlements. Besides, some free isolated tribes also existed: Iraca or Sugamuxi, Tundama and Guanentá.
Their inhabitants main occupation was agriculture complemented by hunting and fishing. They basically cultivated corn and potatoes, beans, squash, tomatoes, “cubios” yucca, tobacco, “arracacha”, sweet potatoes and diverse fruit and vegetables. In the mining field, salt and emeralds extraction was fundamental for their own use and to trade with other tribes from which they obtained gold and cotton. In the conquest of the Spaniards Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada after found Santa Marta, he went exploring and found Santa fe de Bogota, so he decided to build an urban settlement. This was on 6 august of 1537. After it was named the capital of the new Granada. The first neighborhood was la calendaria. The he found juridical foundation with Federmann. The they found the Bolivar plaza and plaza mayor. The first mayor was Pedro de arevalo.
After time Bogota was the most important city of the colonial time there were churches, the city was expanded, now a days is the largest city in Colombia. In Bogotá was practiced the mita, encomienda and resguardo because many people worked there. The printing was useful in that time so the royalty can print the news.
Urban design consisted in squares and from that time the one hundred meters per lienzo de cuadra prevails. Traverse streets (east–west) were 7 meters wide and current carreras 10 meters wide.
In 1553 the Main Plaza—now Bolivar plaza—was moved to its current site and the first cathedral construction on the eastern side began. On the other sides the Chapter and the Royal Hearing were located. The street joining the Major Plaza and Herbs Plaza—currently Santander park. In 1948 was the bogotazo, it was when a man killed Jorge Eliecer Gaitan, the city exploted, the city was divided in partdo liberal and partido coneservador, there were many men killings. In 1970 the city was expanded and became modern.
After this period the city had transmilenio that is a ystem of transport, the cicloruta and pico y placa that is because many people have car so it was created to regulate the tarffic. Now a days the city had the world cup sub20, and the city became a touristic center, like monserrate, Colpatria tower, el campin. The two predominat soccer team sin Bogota are Millonarios and Santa Fe.

The Church
by: Sebastian Guerrero
I was in the "Iglesia Cristiana Carismatica Cuadrangular" of Chico. It is a very big place with offices, classrooms for the little kids, a basement with classroom for the big kids, a second floor full of offices, and a big main room where the cult is made. This church is located in the 19th avenue with 103. They gather the Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m., but they also join in the middle of the week for different praying meetings, fastens, etc.
I could interview the leader of the church community and one of the workers (my dad and a friend of mine)
My friend's interview was like this:
Juan Carlos: hi Sebas
Sebastian: hi Juanka. can you do me a favor?
JK: sure
S: is that I need to interview someone of the church including an employee, so I wonder if you could help me with it.
