The Church

by: Sebastian Guerrero
I was in the "Iglesia Cristiana Carismatica Cuadrangular" of Chico. It is a very big place with offices, classrooms for the little kids, a basement with classroom for the big kids, a second floor full of offices, and a big main room where the cult is made. This church is located in the 19th avenue with 103. They gather the Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m., but they also join in the middle of the week for different praying meetings, fastens, etc.
I could interview the leader of the church community and one of the workers (my dad and a friend of mine)
My friend's interview was like this:
Juan Carlos: hi Sebas
Sebastian: hi Juanka. can you do me a favor?
JK: sure
S: is that I need to interview someone of the church including an employee, so I wonder if you could help me with it.
JK: ok
S: Generally, in what do you work?
JK: I'm in the worships and I'm in charge of the audiovisual part: recordings, sound effects, etc.
S: Are you married?
JK: Yes, I'm happily married to Maria Angelica Cortes
S: do you like working in here?
JK: yeah, but here between us, I haven't had enought time to spend with my wife
S: do you like coming to the church?
JK: yes
S: do you have time for yourself?
JK: unfortunately, not too much.
S: ok Juanka, thanks
JK: you're welcome Sebas
And the interview with my father was this:
Ricardo: hi Son
Sebastian: hi Dad. Dad, I need to interview you for an english class
R: ok
S: In general, in what do you work?
R: generally, I have coordinate that the sunday's cult goes in order (with worship, announces, ministration, etc)
S: your work is connected to you profession?
R: yes, of course
S: do the church leaders have to do a course?
R: not a course but a career: theology
S: but you are a musician
R: yes, but: First, the music is important for the sunday's cult, and second, I'm doing the "instituto biblico" for graduating of theology
S: Do yo have time for yourself? or you have a strict schedule
R: my work demands a lot of time, but I have a flexible schedule
S: is there anything you would like to change?
R: Actually, yes. I would like to eliminate some innecesary meetings
S: ok. that's all. thanks dad
R: you're welcome.
